Pool Rules – Lap Swimming Etiquette – Spa Rules

General Pool Rules

  1. Lifeguards have FULL authority over the pools and spa at all times

  2. Swimming is only allowed when a lifeguard is on duty

  3. Horseplay, running, splashing, shoving, or dunking is not allowed

  4. Swimming is only allowed in designated areas

  5. Diving is only allowed in the deep end of the pool

  6. Glass containers are not allowed in the pool area, concession area, or anywhere else in the facility

  7. Food and Drinks are only permitted in the concession area

  8. Throwing hard balls, hard Frisbees or other hard objects is not allowed in the pool area

  9. Alcohol, Tobacco, E-cigarettes, and other drugs are not allowed anywhere on facility grounds (must go to their car for use of tobacco)

  10. Profanity, improper behavior, carousing or other indecent acts are not permitted and the patron responsible should be asked to leave.

  11. Non-swimmers are not allowed in the deep end

  12. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult

  13. No floatation devices in the deep end of the pool 

  14. “Wall Walking” or “Gutter Walking” is not allowed

  15. No hanging on the ladder or steps

  16. No one permitted around the lifeguard stand unless asked for by the guard on duty

  17. No sitting or hanging on the lap lanes or lifelines

  18. Emergency equipment is for Lifeguard use only

  19. Lap lanes are for all lap swimmers, they must be shared accordingly

  20. Lifeguards will assist handicapped patrons with equipment as needed

  21. Diving boards are closed during classes

  22. Only one person at a time on the diving board

  23. Only one bounce on the diving board

  24. Must exit on the long side of the pool

  25. After jumping swim straight toward the ladder or straight out

  26. Must wait for first person to be at the wall or out of the blue area when using the diving boards or slides

  27. Must jump or dive straight off of the board

  28. No sitting or hand stands on the diving board

  29. No goggles or masks on any of the equipment

  30. No floats, floaties or lifejackets on the equipment

  31. No vulgar or indecent acts off of the diving board

  32. No spitting, or spouting water with mouth or blowing your nose in the pool

  33. Swimmers must wear appropriate swim suits in the pool. No cut-off jeans or denim

  34. No children in disposable diapers unless covered

  35. First aid and Emergency Equipment may only be used or obtained by staff

  36. No one can enter the pool with any open sores or wounds, unless they are bound and wrapped

  37. Must shower before entering the pool

  38. Pump room and filter rooms are off limits to all patrons

  39. Pets are not allowed in the pool or the facility

  40. Eye glasses are permitted to be worn in the pool if needed or required

Lap Swimming Etiquette

  1. Classes take priority over the use of pool space

  2. Three lap lanes will be provided at most times unless scheduled classes need the added space.

  3. Lap lanes will be closed during closed pool activities. (Swim Team)

  4. Please share lanes with other lap swimmers when needed

  5. When there are multiple persons in the lap lanes it is a courtesy to circle swim in the lane(s). Circle swimming involves swimming down the right side of the lane, and back on the opposite side of the lane with multiple persons, to eliminate getting hit by passing swimmers ( Think driving on a road)

  6. Allow faster swimmers to pass in the middle, or at the end walls

  7. Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. Water exercise is to be done outside of the lap lanes.

  8. Please be a courteous swimmer to avoid causing any disharmony around the pool

Spa Rules

  1. You must be 21 to use the hot tub

  2. The water temp should be set to 102

  3. The spa Capacity is 4 persons

  4. 15-minute maximum use. Longer exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, vomiting, or fainting

  5. All persons using spa do so at their own risk. Elderly persons, pregnant women, and those with health conditions requiring medical care should consult with a physician before entering the spa

  6. Hot water exposure while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drug, or medications may lead to serious consequences and is not recommended

  7. Spitting, spouting water, blowing nose, or discharging bodily fluids in spa is prohibited by law

  8. No food or drinks are permitted in the spa

  9. Lifeguards have FULL authority over the pool and spa at all times

  10. Management reserves the right to deny usage to anyone at anytime
